A little bit about my self I come from Norway, grew up in Lillehammer and live now in Oslo where I work with various forms genres within visual art, such as painting, graphics, collage and sculpture. As a child I was rncouraged by my father, who was an architect to draw and paint and to create expressions through the use of strong coulors, soft contours and lines without too many details. However, I was not encouraged to make art as a living. Painting As a retired lecturer in physiotherapy, I nevertheless retained the joy of art and had fun of capturing the body'`s shape and proportions through sceth drawing. However, my interest took an a different direction through landscape painting, and mostly in small formats. I experience that a small format, 30x30 cm, builds up thr intensity in form and colour. I take photoes that form the basis for playing with the colours and allow me to reproduce the subject as a mixture between fantasy and reality. Developing a sensitivity in what i observe is equally relevant in working with portraits. As an example, I painted my granddaughter`s mouth asymmetrically and signal red to emphesize her defient and expectant expressions. Graphics I like to explore and pursue the possibilities that arise in the creative process with high-pressure techniques, which can be somewhat unpredictable in terms of how the colours behave. regardless of the art genre, I experience being in a flow where I work concentrated and to some extent intuitively. I feel that art and my own artistic activity can initiate a lot and influence me in the right direction.
